Mini John Cooper Works Electric and Aceman EVs debut at Paris Motor Show 2024
At this year's Paris Motor Show, Mini presented its two new sporty variants of the Cooper - John Cooper Works Electric and John Cooper Works Aceman. The all-electric vehicles are very similar to each other, except that the Electric variant is a 3-door form factor, while the Aceman has all five.
Both cars have up to 258 hp (190 kW) electric motor and 54.2 kWh battery. The JCW Electric squeezes 231 miles out of the battery, according to WLTP, while the bigger Aceman can go 221 miles away from the charger.
The different chassis form factor has also affected acceleration. The Electric can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, while the Aceman does that in 6.4 seconds.
Mini JCW Aceman and ElectricThe Mini's outside and inside aesthetics hint at its sporty nature and John Cooper Works heritage. The seats are upholstered in black synthetic leather with multicolored knitted fabric and red stitching for accent. Lighting inside the cabin complements the panoramic roof and a black and red pattern can be found all around the vehicle's cabin.
The JCW Electric and Aceman both get an exclusive go-kart mode. With a push of a button on the steering wheel, the system provides an additional 20 kW of instant boost suitable for quick overtaking. The boost in acceleration is matched with a specially tuned suspension for more agile and sporty handling.
Pricing and availability are yet to be confirmed.
