Kia EV3 spotted in the streets of California, on track for an early 2025 release

Ro, 09 August 2024

The Kia EV3 is on the verge of starting deliveries in South Korea, but other markets are still in the dark as when they might expect it. We've got some good news for the US now, even if Kia hasn't announced anything officially.

An EV3 was spotted on the streets in California, indicating an imminent release. We already know all the specs and what it looks like, but for some reason, Kia believes the tested vehicles need to have camo wrap.

The EV3 has been originally tipped for an early 2025 release in the US and it looks like everything is going to plan.

The expected price of the fully electric compact crossover is between $30,000 and $35,000 - slightly lower than the European pricing of around $41,100. Moreover, word on the street is the EV3 will likely qualify for the full EV tax credit in the country of $7,500, making it a very enticing offer for just under $30,000.

That last bit is still unconfirmed, of course, as even Kia is silent about where the EV3 will be assembled for the North American market. Some are betting on the carmaker's Mexican factory in Monterrey and if that's true, it has every chance of qualifying for the tax credit.
