Xiaomi Vision GT first encounter
What is it
This is Xiaomi's first digital concept car, made for the Grand Turismo proving ground used by the likes of Porsche and Mercedes to hone their reputations for aggressive car design and forward automotive thinking.
For Xiaomi is more of a statement. That it's no longer just a smartphone company, and that it's serious about electric cars. The SU7 Ultra's Nurburgring lap record should be proof enough of that! But if you need more - here's the Xiaomi Vision GT concept.
So, what is the Vision GT? It's pure performance fantasy - made without the constraints of actual production.
Just a single look is enough to make you fall in love with this concept (or run away scared, perhaps).
The Vision GT is aggressive (duh) with a radical (almost extreme) design. But it's still rooted in automotive basics!
It's an obvious mid-engined, central cockpit layout. Its design is entirely aerodynamically driven. There are huge air intakes from the front to the back.
Upfront, you have T-shaped headlights, while at the back, there's a ridiculously huge taillight that's also ridiculously awesome.
The side profile and the ridiculous rear
Xiaomi says the Vision GT is "sculpted by the wind". The intakes on the front rush air through venture tunners under the car, directing airflow at the back, designed to use airflow to reduce drag and increase downforce.
There are two scissor doors, and the body uses a lot of carbon fiber (weight reduction, bro).
Shark fin rear spoiler, lots of aero
Inside, the Xiaomi Vision GT has a cocoon-like cabin with a sofa-style bench, an egg-shaped steering wheel, and a full-width HUD. Of course, the cabin environment features a lot of AI (for.. stuff).
The center-look wheels house huge carbon-ceramic rotors, which are reportedly equipped to handle the kinetic energy of a 1,900hp powertrain.
Xiaomi hasn't given out official numbers, but has said that the Vision GT sits on its 900V SiC platform, and given the stopping power of up to 1,900hp, we'd guess the Vision GT has well over 1,100hp.
What does it mean?
The Xiaomi Vision GT is a concept and as far from reality as you can get. No, you won't see this beastly thing on public roads anytime soon (or even, likely).
But you may see some of it make it to any of the future EVs Xiaomi has in the pipeline. Part of the aero, the shark-fin spoiler? The humongous taillight (we wish!).
The Vision GT is more of a confirmation that Xiaomi's EV project is now a full-time job. Xiaomi is serious about it. And it's not like we need concept cars from Xiaomi to prove that - the over 410 thousand EVs it delivered in 2025 are proof enough. The Vision GT does look cool, though.
