Citroen e-C3 is launching internationally on October 17

Vlad, 13 October 2023

Back in January, Citroen introduced the e-C3, its smallest EV (if you don't count the barely-even-a-car Ami), but weirdly enough the launch was only for the Indian market. We waited and waited, and now we are finally very close to an international launch.

Through its social media accounts, Citroen is teasing the international unveiling of the e-C3, which will take place on October 17, as you can see.

It remains to be seen whether this will be the same e-C3 that was announced for India, a slightly tweaked version, or an entirely different car altogether. Citroen's EV lineup has a huge gap in it internationally at the moment, with no car sitting in between the Ami and the e-C4, so this will definitely be a welcome addition to the portfolio.

Interestingly, Citroen has repeatedly, in the past, said that the e-C3 would come in at under $26,800 in Europe, which would make it a very good deal. However, don't expect to see any on the road in Europe before next year - the October 17 announcement is just that, an introduction. EV rollouts, as you may know, do still take a lot of time.

Citroen has in the past teased some details about the car - like a range of about 186 miles in the base version, and a length of about 157 inches. Furthermore, it's expected to land in two versions - one with a 60 kW (82 hp) motor and a 42 kWh battery, the other with an 80 kW (109 hp) motor and a 50 kWh battery.
