Tesla's Cybertruck got another of its cool features revealed, a video showing its four-wheel steering system in a test run at Gigafactory Texas.

This advanced steering is not new; it made its debut in the automotive industry over twenty years ago. However, its integration into electric vehicles, especially pickup trucks provides a usability boost that's certainly worth getting excited about. GMC reintroduced the concept to the modern audience with the "crab mode" on its Hummer EV, demonstrating the utility of rear-wheel steering.

What's gripping about the Cybertruck's version of this system is its purported ability to adjust the truck's angle with such finesse that it mirrors the deft movements of a figure skater more than a rugged pickup. This brings improved turning radius and could transform the way we perceive truck handling and maneuverability.

The footage captured by drone enthusiast Joe Tegtmeyer illustrates the vehicle executing a correction that would typically require multiple attempts with traditional steering, in a single fluid motion. The rear wheels pivot in concert with the front, allowing the vehicle to almost "drift" laterally into the correct alignment.

Interest in the Cybertruck has been high since its announcement, but these recent tests are fueling the fire of anticipation. With each leaked video the hype train gains steam, and the conversation shifts from skepticism to curiosity, and for some, to excitement.

Pricing details and full specifications remain closely guarded by Tesla, until November 30 when we'll get a full reveal.
