If I am not mistaken, Teslas were able to regenerate energy regularly via break pedal ... but they changed it in some genius update.

Here is the spec for Tesla Mod 3 and Mod Y and Mod S. Both EV Toyotas have full recuperation. "...no regen when pedal braking." Verbatim from the Mod 3, Mod Y, and Mod S specs, *all* versions. From the great Leader in brake wear.
